POLYKEY wins the second prize of the Manuel Laborde Werliner prize for the best business initiative.
The XIX edition of the Manuel Laborde Werlinden Awards has recognized Multiverse Computing and POLYKEY among the eight nominations submitted, framed in sectors aligned with the smart growth strategy for the economic development of the territory of Gipuzkoa such as the field of biohealth, the circular economy, green chemistry, industry 4.0, social planning and ETIC technologies.
The second prize went to Polykey, a circular economy business initiative based on specific know-how from a UPV/EHU research group. This project, which has a solid technological base, develops innovative chemical processes aimed at obtaining value-added products from plastic waste.
The Manuel Laborde Werlinden Awards are convened within the Entreprenari Program, developed and managed by the UPV/EHU (Gipuzkoa Campus) and the European Center for Business and Innovation BIC Gipuzkoa. Its objective is to promote, advise and support entrepreneurs, and the creation of innovative companies on the UPV/EHU Campus of Gipuzkoa.
