CÍCLICOM: Innovation & Circular Economy in Plastics in Spain
The CÍCLICOM: Innovation & Circular Economy in Plastics event, held on February 18, 2026, at Espacio Eventize in Madrid, showcased the strategic role of the CÍCLICOM ecosystem in promoting circularity in plastics and composites across Spain. The initiative connects supply, demand, and technological solutions, offering a collaborative platform to accelerate innovation and facilitate real connections between waste generators and companies that valorize materials.
The CÍCLICOM project, supported by the CDTI and the Red Cervera network, integrates pilot plants, digital tools, and a marketplace for supply-demand matching, reinforcing the circular economy in plastics and high-value technical solutions. Its goal is to transform innovative developments into industrial applications, supporting sustainable growth and competitiveness in the recycling sector.
Coralie Jehanno, our Scientific Director, participated in the roundtable discussion alongside representatives from leading organizations, including Veolia, AIMPLAS, Aimplas, and Zirkularte – Ecoinnovación, addressing challenges in the recycled plastics market, opportunities for innovation, and the adoption of sustainable practices across the value chain.
The event highlighted Spain’s capabilities in industrial, technological, and scientific sectors to drive circularity in complex plastics. Through the CÍCLICOM national platform and collaborative network, the project fosters an ecosystem where innovation meets market needs, strengthening the country’s position in Europe’s circular economy landscape.
At Polykey we work with different recycling techniques, including mechanical and chemical recycling, and provides customized on-demand services to help businesses implement circular solutions effectively.
