The future of polymer R&D depicted in a white paper from the Royal Society of Chemistry

In “Science to enable sustainable plastics” released this week, the Royal Society of Chemistry identifies the 4 most pressing research challenges for a sustainable plastic economy. By summarising the outcomes of the 8th Chemical Sciences and Society Summit (CS3) held in November 2019, the authors have pointed out that research needs to be carried on:

  1. Understanding the impacts of plastics throughout their life cycles
  2. Developing new sustainable plastics
  3. Designing closed-loop plastics recycling methodologies
  4. Understanding and controlling plastic degradation

POLYKEY is happy to actively participates in at least 3 of theses exciting challenges!
