GEP-SLAP 2022
Last week we had the pleasure of participating in the GEP-SLAP 2022 congress in the conference rooms of the Kursaal, in Donostia San-Sebastián.
This time, the XVI Meeting of the Specialised Group on Polymers (GEP 2022) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (SRSC) and the Spanish Royal Society of Physics (SRSP), brought together two events: The XVII Latin American Symposium on Polymers (LASP 2022) and the XV Ibero-American Polymer Congress (IPC 2022).
Around 400 polymer researchers from Ibero-America and the rest of the world participated in the event. The latest results covering all areas of polymer research and applications were presented.
The program included a series of plenary sessions in which invited speakers collaborated, both in lectures and poster presentations, on the latest topics, challenges and developments in the polymer area.
Polykey participated as a sponsor, and at our stand we were pleased to show to many companies and researchers our product portfolio, that includes advanced technologies such as bio-based polymers, chemical recycling and energy storage. If you want to know more about the products, click here.
Coralie Jehanno participated with a presentation entitled «From lab to market: Challenges and Opportunities of a young start-up», in which she explained our adventure since the foundation of the company.
We would like to congratulate our CEO Andere Basterretxea and CSO Coralie Jehanno for receiving the awards for the best Polymer Thesis of 2019. To Haritz Sardón for receiving the Young Polymer Researcher Award, and to Flore Kilens, one of our PhD students, as she has won the award for the best poster entitled «Screening of Acid-Base as Organocatalysts for the Autocondensation of Diols».
We would like to make a special mention to all the young people who actively participated in the event, thank you!
